Guten Morgen

It's kind of a strange first morning in the new apartment. I woke up watching Johan playing with fire in the oven and then rush away to work. Will try to fix some warm water and find breakfast somewhere.

I love my new place. Last Fall I was a guest over at Habit and in my biography it said she looks forward to moving into a bigger apartment with a balcony on a street filled with different noises of a big city. I'm there now.

i hope you are making good friends with your oven, friends of mine who had oven heating said there are lots of techniques to get your head round, but then it's just fine. happy saturday!

kristina > good to hear! this night was a bit cold (but under the blanket it was hot), i guess it takes a while to get it working - it hasn't been fired during the whole winter.

  7. rike > i will continue working the way i worked in gothenburg. i have a big room in the apartment that will become my studio. after having a studio outside of the house in gothenburg (15 minutes walk from home) i realised i like to have my work space at home or very close to home. all the best to you too :)

  8. oh sandra, these pictures remind me so much of my east berlin childhood. only back than my dad took care of the oven for us, so we didn't have to bother ;)
my favourite memory is that he would hold my blanket against the oven when he brought me to bed, and when he covered me with it the blanket was all nice and warm and cozy...

  15. So happy you're settling in, and that Johan's found work. I'm also happy you have a bigger apartment now! Do you have a separate bedroom? (I remember you said in an old entry that you wanted one)

It's funny. Even though this is obviously not my life and you spent several entries saying a slow farewell, part of me misses Gothenburg and the way we saw it through your eyes! Still, your new Berlin life is so very exciting! I only spent a few days there last year (and didn't even see very much), but I think about it often.

  24. Hallo Sandra,
