May 11, 2006 Johan asked me to move in with him, this was my kitchen for a year.

May 11, 2007 I was finishing my bachelor thesis, it was dull and I prefered to do other things.

May 11, 2008 My mum was visiting in Gothenburg and we had so much good to eat and drink.

May 11, 2009 I was walking down Karl-Marx-Allee with Johan and we just got married.

May 11, 2010 Susan and her boyfriend visited Gothenburg and we met for dinner and beer.

May 11, 2011 I'm home trying to get things done, we've had so many visitors this Spring that there has been no time to fix up this place.
Thank you so much for your greetings on our anniversary.
& hi to Meredith from SF :)

Sarah
Sarah > we did the paper stuff in sweden a week before and had our own ceremony here in berlin. the only way the swedish embassy could help us here was to get married through the swedish church and none of us wanted a church to be involved in our wedding. if we would have wanted to do it through the Standesamt we would have had to fix a friend to translate for johan (he wasn't that good at german at the time and i wasn't allowed to translate) and since we wanted to keep it a secret we just skipped all the complicated stuff and did it the easiest way.
ReplyDeleteklenningen, ta på sej nuuu!

ReplyDeletep.s.: mag besonders: deine illustrationen, kaffe&kuchen 2009 und den kneipenabend in gothenburg 2010.;)
ReplyDeleteI can imagine how happy you two must have been behind the scenes in the 2009 coffee picture! Also: is that a Marimekko dress in the last photo? And what was your bachelor thesis about, if you don't mind sharing?
ReplyDeleteSamantha > yes it is. my bachelor thesis was an illustrated book about a girl called kenny and her struggling with finding her place in this world.
