    Trevlig helg!

I live in Turku (Åbo), Finland. Harbour area. Next to a medieval castle and railroad too. From my window i can see boats, cars, trains and bicyclists. From the other window i´ve seen foxes, hedgehogs, hares and squirrels. The best urban nature spot in the town, maybe. Makes me happy.

Thanks for your blog and pictures. Looks very very nice. All of it.

There's a part of me that felt hurt, as strange as that sounds, when you guys left Sweden. But I should have known that what makes your home so special never had to do with where you were, but who you were. Bravo.

I live in Hämeenlinna,Finland, with my partner and our girl and our two little dogs.
I could almost write the same things as Isoinpapu above me..how funny:) I can see a medieval castle and a railroad from our window too. And foxes and hares and squirrels. Our town is smaller than Turku though but its nice and green, and a river goes through it.
I love cities but I love the nature (and water!) too. Sometimes I dream about moving to countryside..and then somedays I dream that I could live in the center of a big city:)

As you well know, I love your flickr photostream as well as your blog. I am born in Romania, but I live in Lugano, a small and sunny city in southern Switzerland. This is my hometown, but I lived in New York for a while (my husband is from there). My favorite cities are San Francisco, Berkeley and London. I used to cook for a living (pastry chef) but now I'm trying to get a food business off the ground.

Found your blog through reading other [vastly inferior and imitative] blogs and have been enchanted ever since.

  64. I live in the city where I was born, but I lived on the other side of the country for nine years, in a place whose location is impossible to describe to anyone unfamiliar with Canadian geography, since this country is massive and hard to process in the mind. The city where I used to live seems like it's in the middle of a large sea.

But I live here again, and I'm finding it hard to settle in, and I'm always daydreaming about moving away.

  75. Hello!

Your home is so charming. I imagine that it easy to spend hours just staring at all of the details hidden on shelves and tucked between the ceiling and wall.

I move around lots and I have learned that home is wherever I can cook a nice meal with friends. I am from Canada. I moved to Gothenburg last September and then came to Munich in June. In two weeks I am going to Mumbai. I have butterflies in my stomach, but I am excited to make Mumbai home for a few months.

  77. Hi Sandra, I live in Coldstream, British Columbia, Canada. This area is usually referred to as the Okanagan. It is quite hot and dry in the Summer, with lots of orchards, vineyards and lakes. It is 36 degrees Celsius right now and very sunny. In the Winter we get lots of snow and it can be quite cold. The ski hill is only 30 minutes from our home so we spend a lot of time up there.
We definitely have four defined seasons and they are all gorgeous! I love where I live but I really want to travel to Europe and see some really old, historic buildings and homes. Canada is such a young country and we don't have that in many places here.
Thank-you for sharing your space with us!

Since then I've stayed in Antwerp. Recently, I moved to a new appartement and I'm sharing it with my boyfriend and 2 cats. One day I hope to buy a little cottage at the countryside with a huge garden so I can give room to a whole zoo (not an actual zoo, sheep and ducks will do). It would be very nice to be able to craft at a place like that.

I live in a cozy apartment upstairs in a private home. My walls are all clad in bead board wood and the walls on one side slope as they are the inside of the roof. Now that summer is ending and autumn, my favorite season, is beginning, I'm excited to spend time curled up at home, in a warm sweater, with a cup of tea and a good book, or one of my many craft projects. I'm also thrilled to experiment with my brand new DSLR--my first!--and hopefully take better quality photos for my shop and my blog.
