Autumn in F'hain

Saturday mornings are for farmers market. Sometimes to share a plate of pelmeni with Johan, always to do some dog watching.

I hope to find some new inspiration soon, I'm not bringing my camera with me a lot these days, I don't spend many minutes a day online. The past few years I have developed a big social "offline life" and never have I had as many friends as I have now. For many years I made an active choice not to be around people that often, somehow I ended up being very social online instead :) Searching to find a balance and give this space a little more time, because I really love blogging (started in 1998!). Maybe I should come up with a new topic to blog about. Any wishes/ideas?

  1. I've read your blog for many years and still love seeing the world through your eyes! I think you should blog about what you love--that's the best content for any blog, I think. Crossing my fingers that you'll stick around!!

    1. thank you for your kind input, julie!
yes, i agree with that! I think that's why my posts have become less - because what i love happens outside the online world most of the time. and those moments are too precious to pick up the camera and share with others :)

  3. Echoing Jullieyonder's thoughts. I've been following your blog since 2006 or so and still love it. I'm sure whatever you decide to blog about will still be entertaining for us :) - Salina

  4. I love your walks around Berlin and have found so much inspiration through your photos. I would love to know more about your work - what you do, how and where you do it and your work philosophy. Thank you for every post - I get excited whenever I see that there's a new one!

  5. You could photograph on your (way to) encounters with your offline friends or ask some of the Berlin people who wear your creations to share more about themselves (interview, short bio) and/or their favourite and/or secret/hidden places in Berlin.

    1. thanks for your input! let's see if i start bringing my camera with me again (also read my answer to julie on top of the comments).

one thing i have decided is to make this blog less of a berlin guide thing, because i never thought it was fun to do it - i was kind of feeling forced because (some) people were so angry when i didn't share the location of places i went to.

    2. what about the books/movies/art that changed your life? or some of the other treasures at your place and their stories/history/why they mean so much to you or about the way the inspire you ...

  7. Sandra, I find your blog so inspiring that it took me to visit Berlin last year from far away, Buenos Aires, searching for all the beauties you always show through your magical photos. So..if you go on like that it's perfect for me!!! Or maybe we, your followers from different distant places around the world could make some kind of contribution on topics you love, for ex. #wherevertiles, knowing you're crazy about Berlin tiles.

  9. Hello, I appreciate the way you look into things. I always tell my husband, that if I could blog I would do the way you do.

I believe in life it is nice to do what makes our heart happy, so you could follow yours. If you have the impulse to blog, do it, otherwise wait until you feel the heart calling.

I just would like you to know that I am a big fan of your work and my selfish side just wants you to keep blogging.

    Cheers!
