Midsummer party

On Friday we celebrated midsummer with Eili. She did my hair, she's a great hair stylist and takes appointments, check out her Instagram!

Right on time for sandwich cake, Otto came by with Ramona and Antti. It was Otto's 1st birthday, so we celebrated him until he passed out.

While Eili was doing my hair, Johan was in the kitchen making the cake, a vegan version, and playing good music. As I wasn't involved in the cake making, I don't have a recipe to share. All I know is that he took inspiration from this one with more herbs, salt and some other filling instead of the 1st one. The recipe is in Swedish, but I'm sure a translation page can help you. After all the food we were ready to hit a techno club to dance the night away and I found a photo booth, the front of my hair wasn't as curly anymore as I had been sweating like a pig on the dance floor ;) Was a great midsummer! The rest of the weekend I spent talking walks, eating sandwich cake leftovers & finishing a great book; "Horrific Sufferings of the Mind-Reading Monster Hercules Barefoot: His Wonderful Love and His Terrible Hatred" by Carl-Johan Vallgren. Most well-written book I have read in a while!
