My place today

Hello from my studio. This table is mostly being used by Johan when he's working from home (not often) and by me when I put on make up (two minutes a day). Will clean it up soon and start using it more.

Hello from my hallway. That arrow is left since Johan made a surprise for me last month.

Hello from my kitchen. Kristina gave me these for my birthday four weeks ago, time to say bye.

Hello from my kitchen again. A shelf with tea (most of them from you lovely blog readers) and the fridge shows good memories and things to look forward to. Yesterday I started making plans for rebuilding the kitchen (the positive side of being sick).

Thank you for your thoughtfulness on yesterday's post.
You helped me feel better.

Choices

White lilies in my hallway. My family never had white lilies at home, they were called funeral flowers. I love them.

I'm resting today, fighting a cold. Also, I got the news that a friend decided to leave life... Usually I don't write about those things on my blog, but today I do. He grew me this rose some years ago and I hope I will keep it alive for a long long time. It's the only plant surviving the move from Sweden to Germany (I had it with me on the plane).

View from the sofa.

...

The lamp is a gift from my dad, the 'Vespa' sign (you see half of it behind the lamp) is a gift from my friend who left life, the doll is a gift from my husband when we celebrated a year together.

A plant that is full of life.

My all-you-can-eat buffet.

Don't worry about me, I am fine and have such great memories of my friend - we've been down this road before so the news weren't too shocking. I hope he's happier where he is now (together with his beloved Lisa). This post is for him, we shared a quite bizarre sense of humour that I will miss :)

2 years later

Today it's 2 years ago since we moved in to our apartment. It's also a big day for both me and Johan since he has decided to stop working as a freelancer and today he started a fixed position job as a graphic designer. This means I can make it as a routine to walk him to his office in the mornings on one of my favourite walks passing by one of my favourite coffee spots :) Above are some pictures from this morning.

An extra long time off

Johan and I decided to take a long time off this Xmas and I have truly enjoyed it and am now back in my studio feeling totally rested for the first time in years. A couple of days before New Year's Eve we enjoyed brunch with our sweet friend Mette and her family.

On New Year's Eve we were invited over to a friend's place for raclette and celebrations.

Johan and I made a sandwich cake for the occation.

We danced our asses off and later on Johan and I had to leave for another party in a bar where we danced until the morning. We have been dancing like crazy every second night; at bars, at home, at a club, at friend's places and even at a bank.

To take farewell of this amazing holiday we invited a couple of friends over for dinner on Saturday. Made mini sandwich cakes this time.

And oysters!

Black mojitos being prepared.

Pasta with lamb and mushroom-Lillet-sauce. Salad with goat cheese, pomegranate, avocado, cucumber etc.

Feels great to start working again after this amazing time. Hiding in my lonewolf work bubble feels like vacation after these weeks of parties :)
