A morning in the city

Love to go window shopping on early Sunday mornings when the streets are empty.

Very true - The door to your cell can only be unlocked from the inside!

Took a walk in Prenzlauer Berg last Sunday morning at 9am.

Found an open coffee place and sat down for cortado.

This was on my right side, Johan was on my left.

Passing by emtpy, soon-to-be crowded, cafés on our way down to Mitte.

My favourite trash bin.

More window shopping. This cap is totally Pet Shop Boys to me. Have you listened to their new album Electric? It's so so so crazy good, finally they are doing disco again!

Time for breakfast - Döner, in a park.

Sunbathers by the river.

Don't know who did this, but it made me laugh.

Weekend was amazing meeting friends, celebrating a birthday, walking, eating, drinking sparkling wine, taking breaks on the balcony and I am so filled with energy, which is great because this week is busy and fun!

You find it HERE - welcome!

In my kitchen

The painting above the dining table already lived in our flat when we moved in. It's painted in 1944 - no signs of the war, a dream of peace.

Upgraded bathroom

So, today is a happy day for me and Johan. Last September we gave up showering at home because the coal heater wasn't working properly (2 seconds of cold water, 2 seconds of boiling water). So from September until today we have been going to a gym just to shower. The swimmingpool picture is from a great party last month.

Many many phone calls later during many many months, a guy finally came over and as a happy surprise he torn out the bathtub (beautiful, golden, but impossible to get clean). You can see pictures from when we took over the place here, so you get a picture of what a mess the place was :)

We both stayed at home to work and of course eat while the guy was installing the electric (!) boiler and new bathtub.

While writing this blog post I'm waiting for the water to be hot enough to take my first shower in almost a year at home! Maybe you can imagine the happy dog Sandra jumping around in circles tearing down things with her tail.

See you!
