My serotonin

Untitled
Those of you who have followed this blog for a long time know how much I love to walk around the city. Preferably long walks.

Untitled
So, on Wednesday Johan and I walked to the store opening I blogged about the other day.

Untitled
Those subway trains.

Untitled
Sometimes I take pictures because I like the colours.

Untitled
And sometimes because I like the shapes.

Untitled
And of things that make me giggle.

Untitled
And stuff that make me laugh out loud. Running away from sex.

Untitled
The Prinzenstrasse station is one of my favourite ones.

Untitled
Bang!

Untitled
Took a coffee break in Kreuzberg.

Untitled
Wrong time.

Untitled
Colour love.

Untitled
This sign would make a great t-shirt print.

Untitled
Long time, no see.

Untitled
Berlin, I love you.

Untitled
Colours & shapes.

Untitled
Everything is opening up.

Untitled
And some gold in the sky.

Let's focus on the good things, let's not be afraid, let's love. My thoughts go to Stockholm.

Take your time

This post is a collaboration with We Are Knitters and Kerbholz

Untitled
When one of my favourite yarn companies We Are Knitters contacted me last year for a collaboration, I of course said yes. This is the third time we work together and this time together with Kerbholz.

Untitled
I have lately been thinking about getting myself a watch as I haven't worn one since I got my first mobile phone in 1999. Sometimes I just wanna check the time, without being interrupted by messages etc. Great timing! Kerbholz has a beautiful graphic profile, which is a delight of course.

Untitled
I chose the black and white yarn to knit a sweater, this one.

Untitled
The collaboration between We Are Knitters and Kerbholz is called Nimm Dir Zeit (für DIY) (in English Take Your Time (for DIY)).

Untitled
Took out my watch to show it Berlin the other day ;)

Untitled
You might remember this yarn from a few slippers in my shop, here, here & here.

Untitled
Knit knit knit. Such a therapeutic thing to do.

The Nimm Dir Zeit campaign goes on until April 23 and you get 15% off on your purchase with discount code sandrajuto15 on We Are Knitters and Kerbholz.

Grand Opening at Bolia

Untitled
Last night I was invited to the grand opening of the redesigned Bolia furniture store in Charlottenburg.

Untitled
After a 12 kilometer walk a glass of bubbles was a good start.

Untitled
Bolia is a Danish company and even after six years in Berlin, I still feel very at home around Scandinavian design.

Untitled
Met a bunch of nice people.

Untitled
I read a while ago that blue is the colour of 2017 when it comes to interior design.

Untitled
Flying golden pineapples, what else do you need? ;)

Untitled
Well, food of course! They served mini burgers and mini hot dogs, very delicious.

Untitled
More gold.

Untitled
This wallpaper had sparkles in it (insert emoji with heart eyes).

Untitled
Yum.

Untitled
My partner in crime was there with me.

Untitled
Lots of pastels everywhere. My favourite item was this sofa.

Untitled
Thank you Bolia for a great evening!

My favourite dish at the moment (with recipe)

Untitled

Untitled

Untitled

I made this yesterday and it was so delicious that I made it again today. And when I had scooped up food on the plate I thought Maybe I should blog about this, so here is a kind-of-recipe:

No Name Lunch (the batch I made is enough for 2 people)

Cook your favourite rice, I had thai jasmine at home.

While cooking the rice, do this:
Chop white cabbage
Chop leek
Fry in a pan with some neutral oil.

While frying, do this:
Chop garlic (2-3 cloves)
Grind ginger (thumb sice)
Put in a bowl together with:
1-2 teaspoons of honey
1 deciliter of soy (I use Yamasa, my favourite)
Chili flakes
& stir it to a sauce.

Pour the sauce into the pan with the cabbage and leek. Pour some water in as well, I think I ended up pouring about 2 deciliters. Throw in some seaweed and let everything simmer until the rice is ready.

Put everything on a plate and sprinkle some roasted sesame seeds and spring onions wherever you want it. If you want some extra spiciness, put some sambal oelek on the side (the red thing).

EAT!
By the way, it's vegan.

(I imagine it goes very well with tofu or salmon or beef or chicken and so on, too)

A new book, food and other important things

Untitled

Untitled
Last year I shot some pictures of Olaf Hajek's studio for this amazing book which is filled with inspiring studios by great artists.

Untitled
I took a break from blogging for a couple of weeks, maybe you noticed ;) Brought my camera out from time to time.

Untitled
Like that friday when I met my friend Jacqui for lunch and we ended up seeing the sun set twice, that's so much fun we have together.

Untitled
Hung out at Santa Maria Eastside.

Untitled
Nom nom nom.

Untitled

Untitled
Le Labo sent me a gift; a scented candle which makes my place smell great.

Untitled
Johan's work for Gotham Imbiss.

Untitled
Spring came and gave my kitchen the most amazing light.

Untitled
From today, these leaves weren't visible four days ago.

Untitled
And soon it's Easter. Do you celebrate? I don't.
