A friday morning

Untitled
I always admire that U in NEU.

Untitled
Vroom.

Untitled
It's so crazy green outside.

Untitled
I'm just aaaah all the time. Like a fucking bird who just moved back.

Untitled
Berlin windows, love.

Untitled
And Berlin tiles of course.

Untitled
Passed by a flower shop.

Untitled
And bought a few roses to bring home. Still Wrist Worms weather!

Untitled
The light in my staircase is so good.

Untitled
A salad I just had because I'm eating ALL the time.

Off for a BBQ soon, yay!
Wish you all a happy weekend! xo

Spring sprung in Berlin

Untitled
Yesterday I woke up very early and waited for a yarn store to open.

Untitled
Took a walk to Kreuzberg and saw this beautiful festival poster.

Untitled
If you don't like buildings covered in graffiti and tags, you're going to have a problem in Berlin ;)

Untitled
A good example.

Untitled
Also, if you have a problem with cigarette smoke, you're going to have a problem to go to bars in Berlin (there are a lot of smoke-free bars as well, don't worry).

Untitled
The leaves are at a stage now that almost reminds me of Autumn.

Untitled
Not this ginkgo tree though, one of my favourite trees. Especially in the Autumn when they are hysteric yellow.

Untitled
In Berlin, you can live like this pretty central.

Untitled
Those leaves are brutal, looking like they could kill someone in a second.

Untitled
Hello, friend!

Untitled
Close to Görlitzer Park, leftovers from May 1.

Untitled
Another leaf picture.

Untitled
Went for a coffee after my wool shopping, a friend had ordered a large light grey pair of Wrist Worms. You can still get 20% off your purchase with code SPRING17, I decided to keep the sale going until the end of this week.

If you haven't tried - keeping your wrists warm while working at the computer makes typing so much smoother and it saves your wrists from a lot of ache.

Myrsini - Great Cretan food in Berlin

Untitled
Last night I was in for a real treat. My friend Giorgos, aka my Greek brother Yolo, has started working as a cook at a new Cretan restaurant called Myrsini, located in Charlottenburg. Now I have a reason to go to this area more often.

Untitled
My partner in crime was there as well.

Untitled
Nikos, the owner, is a ceramic artist and you see his beautiful work everywhere.

Untitled
He also brought with him so many beautiful things from his old Myrsini restaurant in Thessaloniki.

Untitled

Untitled
You can also buy some delicacies to bring home, next time I will go for that black beautiful tin.

Untitled
So, let's sit down. Be prepared to get hungry!

Untitled
We started with some homemade bread (they make everything themselves in the restaurant, as well as directly import most of the things straight from Crete) and those olives had a hint of rose taste, the tastiest I ever tried. And they were so tiny!

Untitled
Myrsini serves a lot of vegan dishes and are serious about not mixing the vegan food preparation with the meat dishes.

Untitled
Here some beans and lentils + fava (yellow split peas puree).

Untitled
This is something I never tried before and fell immediately in love with - Stamnankáthi, a plant which only grows in Crete. If you never tried it - you have to!

Untitled
And this! Ntákos.

Untitled
Potatoes and leek in lemon sauce.

Untitled
All of a sudden, there was cheese on the table! Next time I will go for the mixed cheese plate for sure.

Untitled
Here is Apáki, marinated and smoked pork. Very rich in flavour and went so well with the potatoes, leek, lemon sauce.

Untitled
As the Cretan kitchen was completely new to me (never been there, though I'm quite familiar with Greek food), we decided to try some Souvlaki and Bifteki to have something to "compare to". This was more fresh than the regular Greek versions I've tried before.

Untitled
They also make hand cut homemade fries, which is quite uncommon in the Greek restaurants in Berlin. Another thing I love, is that Myrsini doesn't compromise - good to know: they don't serve Gyros and neither feta cheese or regular tzatziki as it's not part of the Cretan kitchen.

Untitled
Almost never do I order a dessert, but if there's yogurt, I say yes!

Untitled
The sun set and we hung out a bit more with the guys, having a glass of red wine and some raki.

Untitled
Already looking forward to next time!

Untitled
The end. Now I have to go to Crete.

The diva

Untitled
Last week my acquaintances came over because they needed Johan to help him out with a project they're working on.

Untitled
I helped serving a bottle of bubbles and being the clown as usual.

Untitled
This was one of the parts where we laughed the most.

Untitled
Johan is so good at transforming into different characters, doesn't matter if it's male, female or something else.

Untitled
Queen.

Untitled
Here he's like You expect me to share the pizzas with you?!

Untitled
Forget it, bitches!

Untitled
Yum yum.

Untitled
Why the fuck are you ladies even wearing a bra?! He thought it was painful.

Untitled
OK.

Untitled
This person.

Untitled
After more than six hours of work and one bottle of bubbles only, we thought it was time to head to a bar.

Untitled
But we were all too tired, so one hour later everyone was home again ha ha.

Untitled
Some of my favourite shots through the camera phone.

Was a great day!!
