Splashes of colour

Saw some colourful simple things today, like this hot dog wrapping paper - I felt like I was a kid in the 80's again.


Beautiful colourful origami.


Passed by Herr Nilsson and bought a small bag of pick and mix candy.


Then it was time to walk back home to the studio again and work.

I think I'm going to spend the rest of the evening in my studio.

A Monday in the studio

The luxury, my balcony is connected to where I work. Drinking amazing filter coffee there today.


I made two more pairs of baby slippers. A customer told me they are the only ones she's tried which have stayed on her baby's feet, so great to hear!


This is a preview of a beanie and a one-of-a-kind loop scarf I've been working on for this coming Fall. Will make a shop update with lots of new things in late August. Looking forward to it!


The sky today is amazing!

How was your weekend? Mine was great! Been working a lot, hanging out with friends, eating too much pasta and so on.

Zug der Liebe

Yesterday the police started to block the streets from traffic.


It was time for Zug der Liebe, a huge street rave (around 17 000 people were dancing below my balcony) for love, freedom of speech, against fake news. Among other things. And for the love of techno! Berlin loves techno, so do I.


15 different trucks were playing super loud amazing music and people were dancing, no one cared about the showers of rain.


Johan and I were dancing on the balcony as well.


Great to see so much happy people.

Lots of smoke were coming out of some of the trucks.

And then BSR cleaned up the streets and as soon as the music from the trucks had disappeared, it looked like nothing had happened, but on the inside we were all carrying a techno party.

Currently reading

Nausea by Jean-Paul Sartre, a classic most people have heard of. I bought it about 15 years ago, started reading and got bored. When I was younger, I was much more interested in stories and didn't bother too much if the language wasn't very good. The goal was to start a book, hopefully liking the story which preferably went from A to B to C and so on, finishing and then filling in my list of which books I had read. I did this from 1993 until around 2010. Moved to Berlin and stared living life more. My eyes have opened up more and more to loving single sentences, words that are written in a way that make me cry, laugh, admire and so on. I think it was The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt that opened up my eyes, every sentence is a piece of art in that book.

If you haven't read the books above, I won't tell you more details about them. Personally I like starting reading a book or watching a film knowing as little as possible.


When I opened the book, sensitive to typography as I am, I remembered back in the days when reading something with too small frames around the text - how difficult it was to get a good reading flow. In this case, it doesn't matter as Mr. Sartre had a great flow in his writing.

The newspapers were warning about storm and intense rain today, even my dad texted me to stay indoors. Not much happened though, maybe tomorrow? It's 11:30pm and I'm about to head to bed and read a book. Reading a lot again and the stories make me so inspired. Going through a rough depression for such a long time has brought some good things on the other side: I'm more open to things I don't identify myself with (depression makes you extremely self-centered, I would say), I have started to become interested in expressing myself in writing, I see other people and their good sides much better, I can take people's bad sides without freaking out or thinking it has to do with me, I have more patience with close family and friends and so on.
